This one-day marketplace is just in time for local, last-minute Christmas shopping. 

Childrens' businesses will be open on December 14, 2024, from 10:00am- 2:00pm. 

Come support the future of Southwest Louisiana as children share their creativity, hard work and 

ideas with us! 

Who is available to participate in the fair?

Any brave child from any school in SWLA ages 6 to 14 who longs to be a business owner can apply.

My friend and I want to go in together to start a business.  Is that okay?

Absolutely, two heads is better than one, right? Each business can have up to 2 kidpreneurs working together.  

When is the deadline to apply to the fair?

We will close applications on November 1st. So why wait, sign-up today!

Are parents able to help?

Let the kids do the work! Parents are asked to refrain from making any of the products or leading the process. Don't worry parents, once your kidpreneur's application is received, you'll be emailed some guidelines.

What will children learn by participating in the fair?

Kidpreneurs will have access to an exclusive launch party where they will work through creating a business plan and meeting other entrepreneurs. They will design and create a product or service, determine costs associated, marketing strategy and sell their product at a one-day marketplace. By the end of this they'll be running their very own business and looking for investors! Watch out Shark Tank!

What types of products or services are sold at the one-day market?

We've seen it all! From ooey-gooey slime, colorful paper airplines, delicious baked goods to one-of-a-kind paintings, glamorous handmade bracelets and fire-starter kits there are a wide variety of intriguing products.

*However, this is not a garage sale so finding current items and upselling them is not permitted.

Are there prizes?

You bet there are! We gather an incredible group of community leaders to judge kidpreneurs' booths based on things like creativity, perseverance, presentation, and most likely to become a Fortune 500 company.

What can we expect at the event?

Isn't every business owner and shopper hungry after a long day of fun?  We've got your covered! There will not only be several food vendors at the event, but the incredible John Guidroz will be playing throughout the day.

What time does shopping begin?

Early birds, you're in luck! The one-day market opens at 10am and shoppers can shop till they drop until 1pm. And you better believe we'll be giving away shopping bags to carry all your goodies home with you!
